The Indypendent Reader Webpage is an online progressive and timely news/ media site that aims to serve Baltimore’s more than 200 neighborhoods through research, communication, and organizing. We encourage people to “become the media” by providing democratic access to available technologies and information. We seek to bring to light Baltimore’s rich tradition of social and political activism.

The primary goal of the Indypendent Reader Webpage is not merely another online news source, but rather a collaborative project in which people dedicated to social justice in Baltimore can participate in the production of local media, tell their own stories and continue to organize forums, workshops, and other events. These events disseminate ideas, build solidarity, and help promote and increase the reach of the paper itself.

We are funded through donations and purchased advertisements from our readers and local businesses that advertise on our website.

Your advertisement will be featured as periodically rotating on our main homepage as well as appear in individual articles and links.

The featuring of your advertisement will last a month and may be renewed there after or every 3 months, 6 months, or full year.

The cost of advertising breaks down accordingly:

1 month: $20

3 month: $60

6 month: $120

full year: $220
